Stop focusing on the obstacles and start focusing on where you are going.
There are opportunities all around us. You already know this. You see people take advantage of them and often think about how that could have been you.
But it’s not you.
It’s so much easier to see all the hardships and difficulties that come with trying.
I’m not making excuses for you, but I understand.
It’s easier to see the trees in the forest than it is to see the path through the trees.
Everyone has these hardships and difficulties.
For some, it’s their debt. Some it’s their spouse. Others, it’s time or money or fear or belief system. The obstacles to success feel infinite.
But so are the opportunities
so, stop looking at the problems and focus on the opportunity.
Take control of your life
The cold hard fact is, if you are an employee, you are not in control of your life.
One of the best ways to get control of your life and your money is to build a successful business.
The problem is most people go about it all wrong.
The reason you become an entrepreneur is to be in control of your life. You are the boss.
You make the decisions. And you get the win and sometimes you get the lesson.
But not all entrepreneurs are in control. Sometimes the business they create turns into a job that controls them.
The best way to build a business that you control is to build your own brand. This way you are building TWO assets, a business and a brand. And you control both.
You will never see the opportunity if you are an employee.
You are slaving away for someone else, to earn them a ton of money, while you are given a tiny fraction in return.
Your freedom is totally restricted, from how much vacation you’re allowed to what hours you work in the day.
You are utterly controlled by people who have no right to:
- Tell you what to do.
- How much you can earn.
- What to wear.
- When to work and where to go.
You need to realize that the only person who should have control over your wealth is you.
Here’s the thing, to succeed in anything we do in life, we must first have willpower. Or else we won’t go anywhere.
Whatever you’ve accomplished in your life has been because of WILLPOWER. Nothing would ever be accomplished without it.
However, sometimes we go through phases when we don’t feel like doing anything. The problem with all of us today is that we just don’t have enough willpower to change the habits we’ve cultivated over time.
We don’t know how to adequately harness our willpower. So after a few unsuccessful attempts at trying something new, we revert right back into the comfort of our old habits.
When we speak about the lack of willpower, we generally refer to caving into temptation.
Let’s look at the following statements:
- I can’t work on my side business I’m too tired.
- You ate the cookie because I’m stressed out.
- I skipped my workout because I’m too busy.
Do you find yourself ever using these?
